Avatar: The Last Airbender becoming live action martial art film

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a martial arts based animated television series that has won multiple awards. It is one the hottest programs in the Nickelodeon network line-up.

Recently, M. Night Shyamalan, of sixth sense fame, announced that he plans to adapt the Avatar animated martial arts series into a live-action martial arts film. Sci Fi Wire recently posted an interviewed with him concerning this new martial arts based project.

My son and daughter are huge fans of the Avatar series and I have been known to sit down and watch it with them. It is very interesting how they have melded actual martial arts with the cartoon characters airbending skills.

I hope the live action martial arts film is as fun to watch as the cartoon series has been. :)
