Elite XC no Longer a Contender

It's official the Mixed Martial Arts organization Elite XC is folding. This blow comes after their Oct. 5th CBS main event between Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice was a bust.

First the Slice vs Shamrock fight was canceled, then Kimbo was knockout by the alternate Seth Petruzelli in 14 secs.

It is a shame, this is one less form of competition to Dana White's UFC Organization. Competition is good for MMA fan's.

One thing I enjoyed about Elite XC was it's women’s fighting division. Gina Carano is one heck of an MMA fighter.

Who knows Maybe Affliction will pick up the women's fighting division and add Carano to their line up. Dana White has said he’s not interested in promoting women’s fighting, go figure.
