Self Defense Workshop Chicago Illinois

Self Defense Workshop Chicago Illinois Co-Sponsored by Alderman Tom Tunney
I came across this Self Defense Workshop in Chicago, Illinois and thought I would share it with all of you.
A Chicago alderman is offering help for people who want to feel safer in their neighborhood. Ald. Tom Tunney (44th) put together a free self-defense and safety class to provide "relevant tools for many types of situations from street harassment to physical assaults."
Thousand Waves Martial Arts & Self-Defense Center, where the Five Fingers of Self-Defense, "think, yell, run, fight and tell," will be taught.
According to the description, participants will engage in interactive role plays, physical exercises and group discussions to improve street smarts and recognize danger sooner.
"Participants will practice strategies they can use to confront violence in their all areas of their lives."
The class comes after residents voiced concerns over several recent armed robberies in the Lakeview neighborhood.Source
