Have you heard of the fist foot way martial art film? I was searching the internet the other day and came across a new martial arts film called the fist foot way. It looks like a very funny spoof on the martial arts. Just curious if anyone had seen this new martial arts movie.

The Fist Foot Way

Phil, I gave you a 5 star ranking for submitting this question. I have been working on a page about this very topic. In light of your question this is a perfect time to share it..

The Foot Fist Way is an independent film and was the first film project of directory Jody Hill. He funded the film with his own personal finances. The stars of this comedic martial arts film, Danny R. McBride and Ben Best, are college friends of Jody Hill.

This low budget martial arts comedy was all-the buzz at the Sundance film festival and caught the attention of Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. They loved the independent film so much that they offered to produce the film using their company Gary Sanchez Productions.

The Fist Foot Way is about a small town Tae Kwon Do instructor whose life falls apart after his wife has an affair. On May 30, 2008, it had a very limited theatrical release. Since then it has been an unexpected sensation in Hollywood.

The Fist Foot Way website has continued the comedic theme of the martial arts movie, supplying visitors insight into the main characters martial philosophies. It hosts a trailer, and slew of other quirky props to enhance the movies theme.

ComingSoon.net, recently interviewed Jody Hill and the guys, which helps give some insight into the vision behind this new martial arts movie.

The Fist Foot Way has not made it to my neck of the woods and with so many new releases this summer I may have to wait for Video. Once I have had a chance to watch it, I will certainly post a review here for all.

The trailer had me laughing out loud, I have certainly crossed paths with martial arts instructions like this in my 30+ years in the martial arts
