UFC 118 Edgar vs Penn 2

UFC 118 Edgar vs Penn 2

I just finished watching UFC 118 and Here are the results of the nights main events. I did not have a chance to watch the prelim fights on spike so if anyone watched them let us know how the turned out.

The first fight of the night was a Welterweight bout between Nate Diaz and Marcus Davis. This was a good mma fight with both fighters leaving the match with cuts. But Diaz punished Davis throughout the match.

Nate Diaz eventually submitted Davis with a guillotine choke in the third round at 4:02.

The Lightweight bout between Kenny Florian and Gray Maynard ended in decision.

Gary defeated Kenny via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

The MMA Middleweight fight between Brazilian Demian Maia and fellow Brazilian Mario Miranda also ended in a decision.

Maia dominated Miranda earning a unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

The Heavyweight MMA main event of the evening between Randy Couture and boxing ledgend James Toney ended just as most expected.

I had hope to see a better fight, but true to form UFC hall of fame legend Randy Couture submitted boxer turned mma fighter James Toney with a classic arm-triangle choke at 3:19 of the 1st round.

The UFC Lightweight Championship mixed martial arts main event of the evening was a rematch between the current lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and former lightweight champion B.J. Penn

    Frankie Edgar dominated B.J. Penn earning a unanimous decision, (50-45, 50-45, 50-45).
