I came across this today and found it very interesting. As, I have pointed out in my Health and Fitness Article, your health is vital to achieving your warrior fitness goals.



Walnuts are an incredible source of antioxidants and I can't wait to get a chance to try this power smoothie..

Walnut Smothie Recipe

Hello everyone even though it is in the video above I thought I would give you a written version of the above Walnut Smoothie. Try it and let us know how it has helped your martial art fitness training and recovery.

Making the Walnut Milk:
1 cup walnut haves
3 cups water plus more for soaking walnuts
1 tablespoon honey or agave nectar
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
pinch of kosher salt
soak walnuts for at least 1 hour

Drain and rinse walnuts thoroughly before blending the ingredients (Walnut Milk will be used in smoothie)

Walnut Date Smoothie:
1 cup of walnut milk
1 cup plain or vanilla yogurt**
1/4 cup medjool dates, pitted and roughly chopped
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup of ice (about 8 cubes)

Blend on high until the mixture is very smooth

** If you use Greek yogurt it gives you 2 times the protein and half the sugar
