Daughters and female siblings under the age of 15 are welcome to attend, but must be accompanied by an adult.“The holiday season is a time when we often let down our guard and typically don’t pay as much attention to our surroundings while out and about shopping and visiting friends and family,”
said Bossier Sheriff Julian Whittington. “Teaching self-defense helps heighten ladies’ situational awareness and encourages them to become more alert to their surroundings to avoid becoming victims of crime. It also gives them some basic skills and confidence to protect themselves at home or in the community so they’re prepared in case of an emergency.”
